Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST)
Neuro Structural Integration Technique (NST) is a gentle, non-invasive manual therapy that promotes the body’s overall rebalancing. By working on muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, it stimulates the self-regulating abilities of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.
Based on precise movements and integrated pauses throughout the session, NST allows the body to release tension and return to its natural state of balance—without forceful manipulations or cracking.
It is suitable for all ages, from infants to the elderly.
Who is it for, and what does it help with?
NST is recommended in many situations, including:
-
Physical pain: back pain, neck pain, lower back issues, sciatica, joint or muscle pain, migraines, chronic tension
-
Functional disorders: postural imbalances, bruxism, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, digestive issues, etc.
-
Stress and emotional strain: fatigue, mental overload, stress, low mood, sleep disturbances
-
Specific support: sports injury recovery, postnatal recovery, menstrual issues, fertility support
-
Prevention: maintaining overall health, improving recovery, preventing tension and injury
NST is particularly valued by professional athletes for its effectiveness in maintaining a harmonious and balanced body structure.
Origin of NST
Neuro Structural Integration Technique was developed between 1991 and 1995 in Melbourne, Australia, by Dr. Michael J. Nixon-Livy. He drew inspiration from the work of Tom Bowen (founder of the Bowen Technique) and Dr. Major Bertrand Dejarnette. This approach combines precision, deep listening to the body, and the power of natural self-healing mechanisms.
In 2025, I had the privilege of training directly with Dr. Michael J. Nixon-Livy.
Today, I am happy to share the profound benefits of this remarkable technique with you.
